There are generally two types of care homes: Residential homes and Nursing homes (Most care homes offer both residential and nursing care places). Care at Home (or Homecare) Homecare service providers provide a carer who visit you at your home to help with day-to-day tasks such as washing, dressing, taking medicines, going to the toilet, shopping, getting out for lunch etc. Some specialised providers may also provide nurses for nursing needs at home.
